My first knitting project turned like...crap. I am now having problems with casting off. I will have to rip everything out...again. Such is life.

There is a certain company who markets/distributes a certain battery operated hardwood floor vacuum thing. It rhythms with "wiff-er." I got it because my whole entire house is wood floor.

I never liked this vacuum. I have to buy pricey disposable cloths etc. (Sounded great in the beginning, but it's like--literally--throwing $$ away.) My first vac lasted just over a year. I complained to the parent company. I got a free vac voucher. So, I got a 2nd vac. The other day the product decided to stop hold a charge. After this problem, I have given up on this product entirely. The company also has a non-vac product--which could work for me. But I can't buy something from a company that markets inferior (and often expensive) products.

Today, I bought this. Quickie makes products for private labels/brands. So, I got the mop under the Meijer label...which means it was inexpensive (under $10!) The mop comes with one microfiber cloth, but you can easily get "refills." The cloth is machine washable. You can also use disposable cloths. The swivel handle is really nice, too. I am not real sure if the mop can be used "wet," but I'll find out.

I've been using the Quickie mop dry for the past few hours. I've cleaned up...
  • cat hair
  • dry oatmeal
