I purchased yarns for:
(note: 1st link is the pattern/picture of the project. Second link is the yarn colors)
Jayne Cobb hat. The color match couldn't be more perfect. I am a little concerned about the weight. Pattern calls for worsted. But could only find the right colors in bulky. Have to experiment find/get the right gauge.
Gap-tastic cowl. Might return the yarn I bought and special order the suggested yarn. I bought this from Michael's Craft Store.
Another felted tote. Colors should go well together. Right? I'll be making mine with out the novelty yarn--the stuff near the top of the bag.
Classic skinny scarf. Turmeric is a pretty fall color, right?!? My winter parka/coat is OSHA (jk, but it's kind of embarrassing to wear it around. But 1-it's warm 2-it's Colombia brand) orange and white. This pattern can't be found on the internet. I got it from a book, "Speed Knitting, 24 Quick and Easy Projects."
$60 later?!? I have enough materials for not just 1, but FOUR projects.
I made up a rule that I am only going to work on 1 project at a time...to avoid insanity, burn out etc.
Did I ever tell you that I started knitting 3 weeks ago? Yet I feel pretty confident that I can knit the above things.
PS I decided to link everything to be kind to those who still have slow interwebz.
PSS read this before you tackle a hank. Other wise you'll spend a better half of a day un-knotting/twisting yarn. Not that I know from personal experience or anything. :P Don't know what a hank is? Just google, "hank+knitting."
