I had a $.75 off coupon for Pledge's Fabric Sweeper. You. are. kidding me! At Meijer the product was over $7. From my understanding, I sweep the gizmo over my couch, little bin gets full (of hair) and throw the whole $7 thing away. According to Amazon.com reviews the bin gets full after about two minutes.

I could get $5 Scotch Fur Fighter. You attach a Velcro like thing to the handle, sweep fabric and throw away the Velcro and keep the plastic handle. I am reading Amazon reviews that say the Velcro can be washed a few times before becoming useless. There is a Fur Fighter specifically designed for cats, but don't really know the difference between the normal Fur Fighter. I used this on my couch...it really works well.
