For landscaping purposes, I had to borrow my Dad's shop truck. In a quiet neighborhood, it's really hard to miss a little blonde girl driving a blue company logo pick up truck down the street.
Today Andrew and I took said blue truck to the local flower nursery and got a cubic yard of top soil. I could get into details, but that's not the purpose of this post...now is it? Anyway, just as we were finishing up our yard projects this little old man comes walking up, walker and all, our drive way. His walker had one of those chairs built into it. He sat, we stood in our drive away for a good 5 minutes.
This man is so cute! He mentioned he lost his wife two years ago and used to garden/farm 30 acres. From his voice, it sounded like a machine is breathing for him...it's like he ODed on certain
smokable tobacco product. He has a dog to keep him good company. If you drive/walk by his house you'll noticed his lush yard. Grass so green, it truly brings meaning to "green with envy." He does his own yard work, mows his own lawn and is has the stereotypical farm attitude.
I guess the purpose of this post is to say that there are really amazing elderly people in the world. People who are happy and refuse to grow old.
I love this!!
