This week is Student Employee Appreciation Week at the local community college. Because I am a student employee this year, I get to participate! Not only do I get free things from various campus eateries, but also get a little token of appreciation from the department I work for...Which by the way is the hospitality education department or known as SICE aka Secchia Institute for Culinary Education.

Wanna know what I got from SICE?

I got:
-gum, two 20 oz sodas and a NICE tote bag with SICE logo printed on it and other little things with the SICE logo.

BUT

My favorite gift...
$10 Meijer gift card

What did I get with my $10 you ask?
My very first Oberon six pack of the season! Even though the weather may not (really) be appropriate...April 1, Oberon release day, IS the official first day of Summer/fun. Ask any West Michigander and most of them will confirm this.**
Thanks SICE staff for the Oberon!
I thought of getting something "responsible" with the gift card. Like food or gas*. But really. What's more responsible then supporting your local brewery that just happens to brew some really amazing beer?

*Getting gasoline really isn't that responsible, is it? Think about it.
**Ok, so some people will probably say there are better Summer beers on the market from other micro-breweries. But w/e.
