Amazing Chocolate Chip PB Cookies

>
Here it is

Some notes:
  • I replaced the semi-sweet chocolate chips with Nestle's **NEW** dark chocolate chips.
  • I used Simple Jif instead of "normal" peanut butter.
  • I think because I made those changes the cookies came out amazing. Reviewers say the cookies are a little sweet, but I found using dark chocolate and simple peanut butter to be the right amount of sweetness.

Many of you know I am "mom" to a very large cat (as well as a little girlie, she's the Siamese in the pictures).
I thought about making some thing for Fatty. Because, well, he's FAT and unhealthy. He gobbles up his food and regurgitates it...he doesn't even chew the food, it's all barfy pieces.

Gathering the right materials sounded a little too much. I ordered a cat feeder from Amazon, but it wasn't the right type. I went to Meijer and Petco...they didn't have a large selection of auto feeders.

I will mention Petco had a bunch of cats for adoption..I want them all. There's so much cat love in me!

Anyway, while at Petco I saw (and dreamed about the poor little kitties in the window!) this gizmo on clearance. Petco also had cat nip bubbles. Yes, that is blowing bubbles--as the activity little kids participate in. Next time. There will BE a next time.

The idea is the food gets poured through the top to create a mound. The cat has to paw out the food. The cats has to work for food (imagine that!) and eats a few kibbles at a time. As you can see Fatty quickly gets the hang of it. Girlie, just like everything else, is apprehensive.

By the way, my cats have "real" names...besides Fatty and Girlie...Gabby=Girlie Gabby=Fatty.
