A while ago I wrote a little something on coupons. For the third (consecutive) time, I didn't use (ok, today used three coupons) on my shopping trip. The funny thing is without coupons...the average amount of money spent on groceries has decreased. Funny, eh?

Some tricks I figured out:
-Precrumbled blue cheese costs oh, I don't know, $4 for a little container. A wedge of blue cheese costs say, $3. Plus blue cheese is easy to crumble. I begin to wonder if the precrumbled stuff is coated with something to prevent sticking together. So stop buying those little containers that are fulled with unnecessary chemicals...and probably a waste of packing materials.

Ok, so I only have one trick. But it's a good one, right?

Some new products I've been enjoying:
  • MiO drink enhancer. It's kinda like Crystal Light in liquid form. It's a low calorie water flavorer. Although it's full of chemicals, MiO doesn't taste fakey/powdery at all. It's genius to make a drink flavorer liquid. It's kind of expensive...$4 for 24 servings.
  • Dawn Direct Foam. I have no idea how long this has been on the market. Supposedly, you use less product and less water. And it's true. You DO use less. I have used it on my non-stick cooking wares. This product does a beautiful job of getting greasy ingredients off the dish. And yes, this product is expensive as well. :)

  1. Good grief you are good! Thanks for the tips. I buy crumbled Feta all the time but I'm going to quit. I think they do coat it.
