Homemade Ice Pops

Apparently, Popsicle is trademarked. So, that's why they are so expensive? Golly. With the price of gas (ok, so I am sure this has more to do with it then actually trademark name b/c even genetic ice pops are pricey) and everything else I wanted a inexpensive healthy ice pop.

I bought these back when it was a billion degrees outside. UPS delivered them later then I expected. So, I didn't get to enjoy my homemade ice pops when the weather called for it. But I'm still enjoying them...immensely.

I bought Silk's Fruit and Protein drink, only because 1) I'm always looking for things to drink with my breakfast 2) I had a coupon.

I was too lazy to whip up the homemade creamsicle recipe. So, I poured the Fruit and Protein into the molds.

The result? A frozen breakfast drink on a stick! I had one for breakfast. It was very yummy. I do suppose you could have frozen Fruit and Protein anytime of day, but...

I'm excited to try out different flavors and combinations.

There are a plethora of ice pop recipe books out there. Just go to http://www.amazon.com and Amazon "ice pop recipes".
