Sports

I am not one to watch professional sports. But yesterday, for the first time and the last time this season, I watched a Tigers vs Rangers game. The game was the game. The one that decided if the Rangers would go to the World Series...or the tie breaker game needed to be played.

As a Michigan girl, I naturally rooted for the Tigers (even if my "home" team sucks, I'll still root for them. I'm not that into sports and I don't care enough to really "scout" out who's good/bad).

Honestly...I really got into it. I think it's kind of fun watching sports. Although, I must say it's helpful that your home team actually wins some (lionscough).

I'm glad the media has been focused on Detroit...even if it the sports' teams. Detroit suffered a lot...car industry--government bailouts etc. It's kind of fun to see Detroit in a positive light.

It gives the people hope.

Hope, that even though their world crumbles--they can still pack into their favorite bar, shout at TV screens and root for a (winning) home team and have bragging rights (even if the team loses, you can still have some sort of rights...?)

http://lifeasmycat.blogspot.com/ A blog in progress. But I hope you can/will enjoy it.
