Off my chest

I am POed about a lot things right now (really just stressed, in turn is making me distressed and angry).

I have something to get off my chest.

The hearing place/practice that I've been going to for about 6-7 years is cheating not only me, but the state. You see, the state paid for my most recent hearing aids.
Here's the story:
I was recommended by the practice for state-paid (Rehab. Services) hearing aids. I did all the paper work and jumped through all the hoops...my counselor, the man who is in charge of my case, had to fax paperwork to the practice for signatures. (The reason I was recommended was to replace the old/broken pair). The practice isn't very big yet it them several weeks to complete things on their end. I missed several days of work and many classes in the process. In the mean time, I went into the practice to talk about what type of hearing instrument I was getting and the whole "sha-bang". Person A said she would order the hearing aids that day and rush it. I called the practice 1 week later to ask if my hearing aids were in yet. "Mmmm, yes. But we don't have anybody here for the next week to program them. So I finally get my new hearing aids....

During one check up appointment, I remember asking my audiologist if my new hearing aids had t-coils. I remembered someone telling me that my hearing aids had them, but could have heard wrong--I wasn't hearing the difference between my old non-t coil hearing aids and my new ones. The audiologist replied that my model didn't have that feature (mad: yes. hello! I am 22 years old--love to go to the movies and do other things that a t-coil would be very beneficial).

Today I got out my paperwork that had the "whole package" deal on it, signed by me, my counselor and the audiologist...and what was I suppose to get? yup. Ok, so Udirect isn't anything close to a t-coil.But it's similar in many ways.

It's a good thing I'm 22 and know how to stick up for myself. But the majority of hearing aid users are 65 years of age or older. :/

Kthanksforlistening.
