A real life review.
A few months ago, I was scanning the aisles of my favorite discount store. A lady asked me if the store sells dryer bars.
"You stick this bar on the inside of your dryer, ya know?"
Uh, no, I don't know.
About a month ago, I managed to score $2 off Bounce's dryer bar (the only product like it on the market...from my research). I decided to give the product a shot. Now that weeks have gone by, I thought I would give a review featuring...BOUNCE'S DRYER BAR!!!!
--
This product is great if you forget to throw in a dryer sheet along with your clothes. It's like a long bar of soap with sticky stuff on the bottom. You peel the adhesive strip off and stick the bar near the "fin" of your dryer. The bar is supposed to last 2 months. Unsure how replacing the bar goes as I haven't gotten that far. From my assumption the product works just like a dryer sheet. Static guard, softener etc.
I like the traditionally dryer sheet because the scent is really subtle and your clothes rarely have an over whelming scent to them. The first thing I noticed was the scent coming off of the product package. Although the scent is pleasant, after being washed and dried, the smell my clothes give off is a bit too much. BUT because the bar is permanently stuck (unlike a sheet that's freely moving) only the clothes on the outside smell overpowering.
The packages states the product lasts for 2 months. There is a built in replacement indicator, so the bar will read "REPLACE" when the time comes. It's been about a month and my bar is starting to wear unevenly. Will my clothes then get unevenly static proofed? I can't decided that because of winter starting or the bar is not doing it's job, because more than once have my clothes came out all static-y.
The product comes in a few different scents and sizes (two months or four months).
Personally, as a person with slightly sensitive skin, this product is ok. The product performs ok. Unsure if it's worth the money. A bar cost around $6 or a package of 120 sheets costs $3. I am sure I don't do 120 loads of laundry in two months (if I ever do, please buy me more clothes!)
