A great article

My Hospitality Management course is strictly a business class. A lot of what I learn can be applied to most businesses, no matter the field.

I love this article.

It explains so much about Cadbury's history, what their mission and goals were. "Improving the lives of the working class."

I can tell you that during the Great Depression people were looking for work. Workers were a dime a dozen. If an employer didn't like a employee, fire him and hire another worker..all within probably the same hour. During the '30's (and maybe even prior to the era) employees HAD to work under harsh/unsafe work conditions. Employees risked their lives or being fired. Many employees/workers unionize to push for better wages and working conditions...but their was no law that allowed them to do so. Employers could easily fire union workers. It's very interesting that Cadbury WANTED to make great working conditions for employees. I think that's really neat.

Also, any one who lived through the Great Depression am I missing anything?
