Pumpkin Spice Bars

I hate my job. (no, wait. I love it. Both of my jobs I love).

Job #1 involves serving food to mentally ill (insert politically correct term) at a local Christian mental health hospital. I hate my job because it involves yummy food, most of the time. I love what I do because I love and know my unit. Each and everyone of their names. But... we'll save that that touching, heart-felt post for another day.

First of all, it's safe to say anything "house-made" (at job #2 is amazing. I served house-made pumpkin spice bars with house-made cream cheese frosting.

The batch we had tonight was a bit more gingery than previous. However, the little "kick" was really good and better than previous.

In case you're confused as to why we're serving pumpkin in 100 degree weather...

 Welp.

The hospital has 4 rotating menus (one for each week of the month). What's on the menu for that day, is what ya get. It's just best to do things that way.
