I am privileged to live where I live. Although, we have one of the nation's worst economies (if you look at unemployment numbers/indexes), there's so much artistic talent here. It's a big city, but without all the hustle and bustle. ANYWAY, since I live in this little-big city, there's a plethora of theater (like plays and such, NOT the movie theater). It just so happens that my city is home of an award-winning (NO joke) university theater program. That being said...
Last weekend, I saw the 1940's Radio Musical Hour, the Christmas musical at the award-winning (theater) university. Both Andrew and I walked out and said, "I felt like I was in the 1940's". The singing was fantastic. Even the mics/sound/acoustics was great.
SOOOOOOOOO. What's the point of this?
If you have an amazing theater scene in your area, go support it. Sometimes colleges/universities have cheap tickets for amazing shows.
Do you remember the fantastic plays we saw at Hope College when you were young? Such a great inexpensive resource.
