After Christmas Clothing Sales (and a yarn binge)

I spent about $27-30 for 3 shirts and a bunch of yarn.

shirt 1.  The one I bought is similar to one shown except it's 55% cotton and 40% modal.
I am excited about this shirt. It feels cool/comfortable against the skin yet, looks nicer than your typical cotton t. On sale for $6 from the Gap.

shirt 2. This is the exact shirt I got. Bought in red plum. On sale for $6 from The Gap.

shirt 3. Can't find it online. It's from Banana Republic. It has a scoop neck and 3/4 sleeves and made of 49% Rayon, 26% Tencel Lyocell and 7% Spandex. My mother in law bought the shirt in her size, but tried it on at home and didn't like how it fit her. So, she let me exchange it for my size. I paid nothing. thanks mom in law!

Yarn:
4 balls/skeins of Lion brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick. In various colors. Also got circular needles and a set of single pointed needles. Originally, $40. Got a $25 gift card to Joann Crafts. Spent $15. I plan on making a cowl using seed stitch. The cowl has a section of 1 color, another section of another color and so forth. I find "purl" to be a little hard with super-bulky. But I want to do this project and WILL do it, even if it takes all year.

I got some Lion's Fisherman's Wool for Christmas (thanks sister!). I plan on making this. I never really worked/done anything except one row patterns. This project looks like a good "starter" for working with/on more than 1 row patterns. It's basically knit and purl. Fisherman's is worsted (weight)...so it's easy-ish to work with. I really excited to do this. I printed up the pattern in an easy to read format. I can check off  the rows as I do them.

  1. I'd be happy to help with anything (like the dingaling pearl stitch!)
