There is about a billion recipes for this dessert. However, I like mine with the pretzel crust and real strawberries in the layer.
2 cup finely crushed pretzel
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup butter, melted
12oz softened cream cheese
Additional 1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoon milk
1 cup cool whip, thawed
1-6oz package of strawberry jello
2 cup boiling water
1-1/2 cup cold water
2 pt sliced strawberries or less or more
Mixed crushed pretzels, 1/3 cup sugar and melted butter. Press into a 9x13 pan. Bake 1o minutes at 350*. Cool crust.
Beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and milk until smooth. Stir in cool whip. Spread over crust. Refrigerate until firm.
Boil water and stir in jello for 2 minutes. Add cold water. Refrigerate 1 1/2 hours. Stir in strawberries. Spread over cool whip layer. Refrigerate until firm.
