According to the woman who created the recipe. I will have to post Ghiradelli brownie recipe, because in my opinion Ghiradelli brownies really can't be beat.
- 1/2 cup butter, unsalted
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, unbleached
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
-
- Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.
- In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Do not use an electric mixer on brownies..over mixing causes the brownies to be overmixed/aerated.
- I use Saco brand cocoa. Saco is a very special blend of dutch processed cocoa and natural cocoa, which in turn has a nice rich chocolate flavor.
