Enough for two:
1/2 lb Organic chuck (beef)
Seasonings (salt, pepper etc)
2-3 Smoked Gouda cheese slices
2 Sesame seed hamburger buns (or favorite "flavor")
Condiments
Divide meat into 1/4 lb and shape into patties. Season.
Fry/grill/broil until done. About 4 minutes per side. Right before the burgers are done top with cheese. Cover until cheese is melted.
Transfer to hamburger bun and dress the burger to your liking.
A little something I learned at culinary school: make the patties flat. As in "any flatter and my hamburger will be wafer thin." That way the burger is evenly cooked and doesn't end up crunchy.
Creamed Red Skin Potatoes
5 Red potatoes
Milk
Salt
Pepper
Put a mediumish pot of water on the stove. Throw in clean potatoes. Once water has boiled, fork test potatoes. If failed, boil longer. When done drain water. Add however much milk you desire. Same goes for salt and pepper. With a mixer (stand or hand held) cream potatoes until creamy.
I never knew that about burgers, I'm going to try it! Thanks for the recipes..
