She can't sing.
Money paid her way into Nashville (her dad is a financial adviser)
The list goes on and on and on.
Despite all that, we can all agree that she's a positive role model. (Side note: did you see that promo video for Katy Perry's movie? I fear for our future generation. PARENT'S are saying she's a great role model. Really?!? Someone who dances around stage half naked and sings about sex is a positive role model?!? OK)
- She (genuinely) likes cats. See here. And sweatpants. And coffee. And everything I like. We're a match!
- She sings confidently about her breakups. Not really sure why I find this so profound. I think it's because American girls usually act depressed when they break up with their boyfriends. Well, guess what? Life goes on. Make it work and stop feeling sorry for yourself.
- She's the girl next door. Just look at the way she dresses. Ok, so she probably has a stylist, but I mean she has the final say if what she wears, right?
- She dresses modest, yet cute.
- She walks the talk. Like other celebrities, she knows she's a role model for little girls everywhere. However, I feel like she's not just "lip service". Like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga say they are all for girl power and feminism and/or whatever it is they "believe in".
