English Class

I like to write.
I don't always use proper grammar, but personally I think that's not the purpose of writing anyway. I mean writing is suppose to be fun. A person really isn't suppose to care about grammar until the final draft, right? Yeah. Mmmm...why do I like to write?

Not so sure how to answer that.

I've kept diaries since I was little--don't remember the exact age, but I just know I've always had one. In my journal/diary I don't care about grammar, common splices or anything like that. I don't let punctuation drag me down, ya know?

Personally, I think that's why writing comes so natural for me. I've always had something to write with (a pen and a journal) as well as something to write on (usually how much my life sucks or doesn't suck, pending on that particular day).

I'm having a lot of fun with English 102. I hate "structured" writing. But on particular days I get really creative and work on a little bit of this required essay.

I guess the morale of this entry is...writing is fun, keep a journal and writing will come naturally to you. Don't force yourself.

If you find yourself wanting to get creative, enroll in an English class--and take the class seriously, but have fun with it.

  1. I took that class several years ago at Davenport..I think you write well because it's not forced, it's conversational.
