One night, I decided on pizza for dinner. I got frozen pizza dough...very bad mistake. The pizza tasted nasty. Two days later I made my own dough using my Kitchen Aid mixer. Seriously, where has this recipe been all my life?
Ever since I found out how easy it is to make pizza dough, I've been making it a lot.
1 (1/4 oz) package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon olive oil
2 1/2-3 1/2 cup all purpose flour
In a warmed mixing bowl, dissolve yeast into the water. Add salt, olive oil and 2 1/2 cups of flour
Attach bowl and dough hook. Turn to speed 2 and mix for 1 minute.
Continuing on speed 2, mix remaining flour (1/2 cup at a time) until dough clings to hook and cleans side of the bowl. I usually have to add a little more water to help the dough stick together.
Place in greased bowl, turning dough to coat. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rise in warm place for 1 hour.
Punch down.
And do whatever you want with it.
I made calzones and 9-inch pizzas with it.
Whos daughter are you and where did you come from?
