I started journaling...again.

I recently took a [whirlwind] trip to Texas.
I was kind of intrigued by this guy--he was writing in one of those $1 composition notebooks.
It got me thinking that I should start writing again.

Once I was home and (kind of) unpacked, I immediately got myself a composition notebook and a Sharpie pen.

I've kept journals for years. I can write anything and everything in it/them. They are a great way to vent and just get your anger out...and just kind of reflect on your anger or whatever. You can easily look back and say,"I was really stupid to be angry at that" or "wow, I've really grown over the past year." This one is a little different...

I decided I want to write in this particular journal everyday.
Everyday I start the same way:
-Today I feel
-I wish

Usually "I wish" correlates with "today I feel." Usually it goes like this: "today I feel like crap." "I wish I didn't feel like crap. I need more sleep--and need to say no to somethings in order to prevent myself from breaking."

Sometimes I just write my "I feel" and "I wish." Other days/nights it's a full out rant and or reflection. Either way I look forward to reading my journals in years to come.

If you decided to start (or repick up) journal-ing, your journal doesn't have to be fancy. Or maybe it will/is. It's whatever your comfortable with and makes you want to write. Just be free with yourself.
