Seems like when it comes to politics in America, things are either black or white. Or blue or red. (Mix 'um together and ya get purple :)

Democrat. Pro-choice. Radical thinker. Feminist.

Republican. Pro-life. "Just believe in it". Women's place is in the home.

I finally found time to sit and browse some of my favorite news websites. When we moved, we both decided cable t.v. isn't worth our money. While I do miss Good Morning America and seeing Robin Roberts, there's very little I don't miss (Amish and most, if not all, TLC shows in particular).

This morning I found this.

I feel lucky.

I feel lucky and fortunate to live in country where rape (-ing a male and/or female) is considered a real, true crime. While most rapes go unreported, we Americas can (if we feel like it) easily go to the police and report it--hopefully, the police take it seriously.

Next time you feel like bitchin' about someone not sharing the same beliefs as you, just know you live in country where your rights [hopefully!] are protected.

What prompted me to write this post?!
It's been over a week since we moved into this house. Today I feel extremely grateful for things. It's not  very often I feel like that.
