Playing Fair

Today.
I'm feelin' mighty opinionated.
When ever write this particular research essay, I get this way.
This research paper is about the Debeer's. Yes, the diamond people. And yes, the diamond people who created "diamonds are forever" when in reality...they aren't.
The essay is for English 102.
In business communication, we are talking about legal vs unethical.
Something can be legal. But not ethical.

Take the Debeer's, for example.
They were banned for the US market from 1994 to about 2004. Why?
They created "diamonds are forever" and every little girl needs one. (gotta feel special somehow!?)
So, every little girl did just that...except the Debeer's price fixed their product.
So....
Well Debeer's created this "omg, gotta have it" thing, they were basically...exploiting.

Or take Kashi cereal or any other "all-natural", "healthy" product.

I recently read an article about how a lot of this "all-natural" products. While natural, (sugar and grains are natural, right?) most of the ingredients are GMO's and whatnot. Yeah. (IF the FDA was doing its job, we'd probably not being having this discussion. Now, would we?)
