Thanksgiving was laid back this year, just visited with close family. I feel proud of myself that I didn't stuff myself too silly with food.

Andrew and me didn't do any Black Friday shopping. Thursday night, we went to Meijer with great intentions of renting a Redbox movie. We thought Meijer might have some pre-Black Friday sales. We left the store with...
-an Xbox ($200 and you get a $50 gift card)...a pre-Black Friday sale promotion.
-Shutter Island. From Redbox kiosk. Great movie!
-4-2 liters of various 7-Up products. Also, pre-Black Friday deal.

I went grocery shopping late morning on Friday, totally expecting having to push my way through the store. Most, if not all, of the people were in the electronic and toy department.

I have been thinking about what to do with the $50. Part of me wants to go crazy silly and buy all the dumb, pricey stuff I've wanted. The other, responsible side wants to buy groceries and things I really need. I've come up with the solution that I/we will buy foods.....just food I don't really have the money for. IE imported cheeses etc.

In reality what I'll do with that $50:
-Buy premium cat food.
(My cat has had dandruff for a month. It's killing me to see him so itchy and "in pain.")
