Cinnamon rolls were gross.

So I'm not posting the recipe.

I found thee most amazing biscuit recipe.
The outside is crusty, yet inside is moist. Kind of like a good loaf of bread.

1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup+2 tablespoon cold buttermilk
1 tablespoon melted butter

Preheat oven to 475.
Cut butter into cubes and place in freezer for 15 minutes.
In the mean time mix together dry ingredients. Shift twice*.
Cut in butter, using a pastry blender or fingers, until "dough" becomes a course meal.
Slowly add buttermilk until flour starts to stick together. Knead 3-4 times on a lightly floured surface.
Pat into a 7x10 in rectangle. Cut out biscuits using a 3-inch cutter.
Place 2 inches a part on a cookie sheet.
Bake 14-16 minutes.

Buttermilk is really easy to make. Just take amount of milk and mix in lemon juice. Let sit for a few minutes.
Don't have a shifter/sieve? Whisking the flour achieves the same affect as shifting does. And you're probably asking me, why shift flour? Why is it so important? Simply, the flour needs to be fluffed up. Fluffy flour=fluffy biscuits.
Don't ask about freezing the butter. I never heard of it before.
