Orange Chip Cookies

Never made these before, but I've been meaning too.

2-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, soft
1/2 white sugar
1/2 packed brown sugar
1 large egg, room temp.
1 cup (6 oz) Toll House Premier White Morsels
1 tablespoon orange zest

Preheat oven to 350*. Sift flour, baking soda and salt into small bowl. Beat butter, eggs, white and brown sugars in a large mixer bowl until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add egg, mix well. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in morsels and orange zest. Drop by rounded teaspoon fulls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on baking sheet 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

A lot of bakers set their cake pan (filled with batter) on a wire rack. And then put pan and rack in oven...Something about the air flow.

Up next: Paula Deen's Cinnamon rolls. They are in my oven right now!
