The best part of the (new) house is the kitchen.
Naturally, I fell in love with it. It was like love at first sight.
It really was the selling point for me.
I mean sky lights? Big open spaces, yet not too big.
Anyway...

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Like a lot.
In the five (or is it, six?) months that we have lived here, I've (or should I say we. As we help each other with dinner, at times) made 98% of our dinners from scratch.
The very best part of having our own big kitchen is the fact we can experiment with foods/dishes. I've made some things are true winners and others are utter failures.

Some favorites

No-bake Blueberry Cheesecake.  If you don't have a large food processor, this recipe makes it worth getting one.

Jumbo 3-Chip Nestle Cookies. I've mixed and matched various chocolate chips to make 2 1/2 cups worth. Tollhouse Original Recipe has never turned out right for me. This recipe has yet to fail.

My go-to is this: Parmesan-Crusted Chicken Tenders. Obviously, it won't taste like McDonalds, but there are better for you+better tasting.

Tonight we're trying chicken enchilada casserole. I have a good feeling that it's going to be a "winner."

Failures

Pulled pork Mac and Cheese  Although, I believe it was the BBQ sauce...I bought bourbon and brown sugar sauce that was waaay to bourbon flavor. Next I'll make my own sauce. But also the concept of pulled pork and mac and cheese is really too much for me.
