I think it's safe to say we're all snuggled into our house.

We've had Joe for several months and he's (and WE) are adjusting well. His favorite activities involve meeting new humans. He has a handful of friends. No joke. And he loves his stupid, red Kong ball. He sometimes sleeps with this ball. It can be found in very weird places--examples include, but not limited to: steps leading upstairs, in his food dish and a full basket of clean laundry.

The Kong ball was the first toy I bought him. He's not really an aggressive chewer, since all of his teeth are broken off, but he does chew with his little teethy knobs...and A LOT. When Joe was a foster, we just used a good old tennis ball for games. But 1) he destroys them so fast because he chews...a lot. 2) tennis balls make his breath stinky.

So...if you have a little chewer, I recommend the Kong ball.

ALSO
Because we're all snuggled in, we decided to tackle some projects. Luckily, the previous owners took really good care of everything...the windows are superior, the kitchen cabinets are real oak...it's unbelievable how we "lucked" out. Since we don't really have to do anything major, we decided to spend our time and money on building some of our [household] furnishings.

Ok, ok.

We haven't really started on any furniture projects YET.
BUT...
We plan on making:

This. It's perfect for our little kitchen table/nook spot.

and

This. I've wanted my own craft area/room for a really, really, really long time.

I'm equally excited about both projects.
